FOR BOOK DISCUSSION GROUPS

Dirk Wyle's main goal is to entertain the reader and tell a good story. But since a good story is one that the readers are likely to remember, Dirk also puts in a lot of effort to ensure that the story and its background will be realistic. The popularity of book discussion groups is proof that many readers feel this way, too. And Dirk Wyle welcomes their scrutiny. For readers interested in leading a discussion of a Ben Candidi Mystery, the following "starter material" may be useful. Select the link which best describes your group.

SPEAKER PHONE CONFERENCES

In addition to his public appearances at conferences, bookstores and libraries, Dirk Wyle participates in speaker phone sessions with book discussion groups, high school or college classes, and professional organizations. Dirk's policy is to meet with any requesting group of five or more for one prearranged hour of discussion. Your group's moderator is invited to e-mail Dirk.

All that is needed on your side is a working phone line in the room where you meet. Dirk will mail you a speaker phone. Unplug your regular phone, plug in the speaker phone, and you are ready to go. Set the speaker phone on the table or on a chair in the center of your meeting area. At the end of the conference, just put the phone back in the box and mail it back to Dirk.
