     The book was previewed in an author event at the Murder on the Beach Bookstore, in Delray Beach, FL at 7:00 p.m. on September 18, 2015. Dirk presented a slide show on Yucatán and the Mayan Riviera, showing pyramids, archaeological sites, cenotes, glyph writing, and talking about ancient Mayan- and Spanish colonial history.

      The book was nationally debuted at the Bouchercon conference in Raleigh, NC (Oct. 8-11, 2015), at which Dirk will be a panelist and a one-quarter-page ad will be appearing in the program book.
Dirk spoke on "Crime & Mystery Meet Conspiracy, Science and Medicine," at 2:30 PM, Thursday, October 8, 2015, together with Mike Tabor, Patricia Gussin, Ross Pennie, and Meg Gardiner, moderator.



      In the month of October, Dirk visited bookstores and college campuses in North Carolina, Virginia, Washington DC and suburban Maryland, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York and suburbs, Connecticut, Providence (RI), Boston and selected towns in New England.
